Colfax Township is a small community located in the Northeastern corner of Oceana County, Michigan. Officially started in 1869, Colfax is (as of 2020 census) an area that serves 446 residents within a 35.9 square mile radius.

Upcoming Election — Early Voting Available

July 28, 2026

Early voting is available at the Hart Community Center, 407 South State Street, Hart, MI 49420, from July 25th through August 2nd, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day. August Board Meeting Moved to August 5th

Due to the August 4th election, the regular August township board meeting has been moved to Tuesday, August 5th at 7:00 PM at the Township Hall.

Colfax Township Flea Market/Garage Sale

June 11, 2026

The township flea market is tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 4th and Saturday, September 5th (Labor Day weekend) at the Township Hall. Township Blight Ordinance — Community Input Needed

Township Master Plan — Community Input Needed

School Section Lake Boat Launch
